ABOUT
PLATELET RICH PLASMA
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), is an effective and natural treatment that uses your own growth factors to stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Used for many years for the treatment of sports injuries, wound healing and joint pain, PRP is now widely used to treat hair loss.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) stimulates hair growth by harnessing the body’s natural healing properties.
PRP is derived from your blood and is rich in growth factors like platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and transforming growth factor (TGF). These growth factors are essential for tissue repair and regeneration.
When injected into the scalp, PRP improves blood flow to hair follicles, enhancing oxygen and nutrient delivery. This boosts the follicle’s function and prolongs its growth phase (anagen phase), promoting healthier hair strands.
PRP can awaken dormant hair follicles that have stopped producing hair. By repairing follicular damage and encouraging new cell growth, it helps restore hair density.
PRP reduces inflammation around the hair follicle, which is a key contributor to hair thinning. It also slows down follicle miniaturisation (shrinking of hair follicles) in androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss).
The result? Thicker, stronger, and healthier hair growth over time.
PRP MESOTHERAPY
PRP can be administered via a series of injections in the target area, or full scalp.
TRI-FOLLICULAR BOOST
For an additional boost, PRP is combined with PDRN - Polynucleotides - to stimulate hair growth on a cellular level, as well as peptides to create a hydrated environment optimal for hair growth.
HAIR LOSS PROTOCOL
Combining the benefits of Microneedling, Exosomes and PRP to stimulate hair growth, reduce fall and increase hair density.

Platelet-Rich Plasma
Prior to procedure, we have a full consultation to discuss your suitability for treatment and desired outcome. The treatment starts by taking a blood sample, which is then spun in a centrifuge. This separates the components of blood, allowing the rich plasma to be easily extracted. This is then injected back into the treatment area.
Local anaesthetic is applied to minimise discomfort.
Depending on the area treated, downtime may be minimal. Swelling and bruising may occur, especially with treatment around the eye area.
Please allow up to 7 days for this to settle.
PRP can treat several types of hair loss, particularly those caused by underlying issues with follicle health or scalp inflammation.
- Androgenetic Alopecia (Male and Female Pattern Hair Loss) - The most common form of hair loss, causing hair thinning at the crown and hairline in men, or diffuse thinning in women. PRP helps slow the progression and stimulate regrowth.
- Alopecia Areata - An autoimmune condition causing patchy hair loss. PRP can reduce inflammation and promote regrowth in affected areas.
- Traction Alopecia - Caused by prolonged tension on the hair (e.g., from tight hairstyles), PRP can support recovery if the follicle is still viable.
- Telogen Effluvium - Temporary hair loss triggered by stress, illness, or hormonal changes (e.g., post-pregnancy). PRP can accelerate recovery by restoring follicle function.
- Hair Thinning Due to Ageing - Natural hair thinning as part of ageing can be slowed and improved with PRP, promoting thicker, healthier hair.
Results from PRP treatment for hair loss are gradual and improve over several months. Here’s a general timeline:
1–2 Months: Improved scalp health and reduced hair shedding.
3–4 Months: Early signs of hair regrowth, with hair starting to feel thicker and stronger.
6 Months: Noticeable improvement in hair density and volume.
9–12 Months: Optimal results with significantly thicker, healthier hair.
For optimal results, a course of treatments is recommended. This will be discussed during consultation, however 4-6 treatments performed every 4-6 weeks is advised with ongoing maintenance treatments thereafter.
Pre & Post Care
For the best platelet sample, it is advised to stay well hydrated prior to your appointment, however avoid caffeinated drinks.
Unless prescribed, avoid anti-inflammatory medications at least five days before your procedure and any blood thinning herbs or supplements one week before your procedure.
Ensure your hair is clean and dry before your appointment.
Avoid using any hair products for at least 24 hours after.
